Moodle Digital Learning Platform/ Course Management System https://moodle2.ntust.edu.tw/
As many universities worldwide, NTUST adopted the Moodle Digital Learning Platform/ Course Management System in 2013. Since then, all Taiwan Tech courses are made accessible and can be managed via MOODLE. We encourage Taiwan Tech faculty to publish relevant course information on Moodle to provide a more diverse teaching space and more effective learning methods.
What are the benefits of using Moodle?
Moodle is a Digital Learning Platform that offers a flexible online teaching and learning environment. It is based on the idea of improving teacher-student interaction and instant learning responses. Instructors can easily create and manage courses by using Moodle functions such as editing course documents, organizing textbook content, sending, receiving and correcting assignments, implementing online tests, or statistically analyzing students’ learning results. Grade management and an early warning system for underperforming students are other useful features of this digital learning platform.
Moodle provides students with an online learning environment both inside and outside the school. Students can easily monitor their learning progress and learning effectiveness, arrange learning plans, and conduct efficient self-learning management. Online group learning and discussion is another superior feature of this system Functions like surveys (feedbacks) , viewing course information and the course calendar help students get the latest news; Not to mention that submitting assignments online and taking online quizzes respond to the trend of a paperless university and contribute to environmental protection.
CTLD Open Course Website http://ocw.ntust.edu.tw/
The CTLD has developed an Open Course Website (OCW) that does not require registration to browse courses, allowing interested learners to learn online at any time. In addition to general online course videos, this open course website also includes lectures, professional growth courses, MOOCs courses, etc. OCW particularly caters to the needs of international students and faculty at NTUST by offering materials in English on academic ethics, essay writing skills, flipped classrooms, and EMI-courses (courses with English as a Medium of Instruction).
OCW also includes video recordings from speeches on industrial case studies, intellectual property rights, laboratory safety and innovative teaching. Through the sharing of network resources, NTUST promotes lifelong learning and education.
NTUST Media Cloud http://techmedia.ntust.edu.tw/
The school encourages students to use their mobile phones to record the learning process in audio and video at any time, and to upload and share life news and learning results. Students can upload their files to the Media Cloud to share with other students.
Media Cloud integrates the resources of the whole university and offers an interactive audio-visual learning platform. Instructors and can interact with students through the interactive audio-visual learning platform which offers a positive and friendly teaching and learning environment. The NTUST Media Cloud encourages teachers and students to participate in Micro-film Competitions on campus, promotes the combination of digital courses and on-site courses campus. All of the abovementioned features perfectly embody concept of blended learning.
